Motivation Monday

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted Motivation Monday…. Eek. Sorry : /

But I’m back and there’s been a lot that I have seen, done, and found that helps motivate me. And since it’s the season of busy-go-go-go, I know most of you could use a little bump in the fitness direction, too.

Inspiring People:
Pete Pallas is a local West Michigan man who works for a West Michigan company (Herman Miller) and has become recently famous due to his tremendous weight loss. And the best part is — he did it through exercise and Weight Watchers. Here’s his story. He even went on the Today show today! Woo!

Tunes That Make Ya Groove:
“Work” by Britney Spears
“Just a Touch of Love” by C + C Music Factory
“I’m a Machine” by David Guetta ft. Crystal Nicole

Easy-Squeezy Meals in the Crock Pot:
The Greatist made a list of 77 healthy crock pot recipes and I’m making my way through some of them! No more excuses, no more “I don’t have time to make a healthy meal.”

Words to Remember:
“You can’t reach for something new if your hands are filled with yesterday’s junk.” -Louise Smith
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyways.” -Earl Nightingale
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” -Nelson Mandela

Your No-Time Workout:
Don’t have time? Stop saying that and just do 5 minutes! 5 minutes is better than 0, and all you need is your bodyweight. Do 10 reps of each of these, then 20 reps of each, then 30 reps of each, then 40 reps of each, then finally 50 reps of each!
-Squats
-Pushups
-Crunches
-Jumping jacks
