Motivation Monday

It’s officially Spring and I’ve been crazy about being outside. Every time I find myself inside working or relaxing, I think, “What the hey, let’s get outside.” I have had more energy, slept better, burned more calories, and been happier the past week than I had in months! I started walking and running outside again and dang, it’s not only great cardio, but it helps me increase my vitamin D levels and there’s something about breathing fresh air that just makes me smile.

So that’s my challenge for you this week: Get outside and do something for at least 10 minutes every day this week. Walk the dog, play with the kids, lie in the sun and read, take a walk after dinner with the family, bike up and down the street, shoot some hoops, play a little soccer, get the sprinklers out, walk to the store, jog while your kid bikes…. Every little bit of sunshine (though wear your sunscreen!) and activity, especially outside, counts toward your health. Yes, really 🙂
